PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The car manufacturer Stellantis announced on Monday that Free2move, its division specializing in new mobility, has completed the acquisition of the German car-sharing company Share Now.

This operation allows Free2move to extend its presence to 14 new European cities. “Share Now’s management team remains in place,” Stellantis said in a statement.

Share Now was a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz Mobility Group and BMW Group, born in 2019 from the merger of their respective car-sharing services, Car2go and DriveNow.

This takeover operation was announced in early May.
