Carsten Maschmeyer published photos from his son’s big day and touched Marcel and his bride Marie with congratulations on their wedding.
Carsten Maschmeyer (62) has on Instagram announced that his son got married in the town hall of Hanover. “Today I’m just a proud dad – and father-in-law! Marcel and Marie, I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart,” he writes about pictures that he shared with the bride and groom, his second son Maurice, his wife Veronica Ferres (56) and their daughter Show Lilly Krug (20).
Carsten Maschmeyer remembers
The groom’s father adds touchingly: “I still remember your first steps, the first day of school – and now this important step in your life!” He is very happy that the two have found each other and “we are allowed to accompany your life together”.
You wish the bride and groom all the best, wrote Veronica Ferres in a separate posting and also published wedding pictures. “Nobody knows the path that you have in front of you. No one has ever walked it the way you will go. It is your common path and I am overjoyed that you have found each other and that I am allowed to accompany you on it.”
The actress and the entrepreneur himself tied the knot in Nice in 2014, for both of them it was their second wedding. Maschmeyer was married to Bettina Maschmeyer from 1989 to 2009, with whom he has sons Marcel and Maurice. Ferres married the film director Martin Krug (63) in 2001, who is also the father of Ferres’ daughter Lilly. In 2010 the couple divorced.
