The entrepreneur and “The Lion’s Den” star Carsten Maschmeyer (65) has become a grandfather for the second time. In the “Bild” newspaper he spoke about the happy event: “It’s a wonderful feeling that I’m now a double grandfather.” He is very happy for his son Marcel (34) and his daughter-in-law Marie (31). His granddaughter, who goes by the name Malia, was born on May 3rd and is therefore a Taurus like her grandfather.

Shortly after announcing his pregnancy at the beginning of the year, Carsten Maschmeyer told the newspaper: “Marcel and Marie will be fantastic parents.” He is most looking forward to spending time together with his now even larger family and “unforgettable memories.” Carsten Maschmeyer became a grandfather for the first time in autumn 2023 when his younger son Maurice (30) and his wife Rachel welcomed their daughter Aria Lily into the world.

Carsten Maschmeyer’s sons come from his first marriage

Maschmeyer was married to his first wife Bettina until early 2009. This 20-year marriage produced his two sons Maurice and Marcel. He then got together with actress Veronica Ferres (59), who brought her daughter Lilly Krug into the relationship. Maschmeyer and Ferres married in 2014.
