In the NextPit podcast, Fabi, Palle and Casi look back on the past month. What were the tech highlights, what stood out and what sticks? We’re working through January again and talking about Huawei and Mercedes, among other things.
Well – we’re thinking that we always want to look back on the past few months in the podcast – and then January 2022 dares to be sensationally unspectacular when it comes to tech highlights. Tell us in the comments whether you think the presentation of the Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket is more of a highlight or a disappointment.
Feel free to take a look at our presentation of the new Huawei smartphones and I strongly recommend Antoine’s comment on the Huawei P50 Pro. He notes that the Huawei P50 can definitely be used, but he also wonders why he should do it at all.
Mercedes-Benz shows the way
Somehow, while looking for the highlights of the month of January, we have come back to the topic of sustainability. Does the topic annoy you? sorry Sorry! Of course, Palle is well aware of what is going on at his former employer and has therefore also dealt extensively with the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX. Although this is a concept, it is one that is said to be very close to being ready for series production.
Since I can’t even drive a bobby car properly, I’ll probably be the last to tell you about innovative cars. So I prefer to let Palle do it. He breaks down the sustainable ideas of the concept vehicle in detail in just under 40 minutes:
What else was going on in January? Oh, you’d better listen to the podcast episode, then you’ll know. My highlight of the month was anyway Palle, who couldn’t find his Galaxy Buds (link below in the show notes). I don’t know why you can’t hear the buds’ “alarm” sound – exotic jungle chirping – if you live on the edge of the jungle like Palle does.
By the way, we recorded this episode twice: once the technology let us down, so we had to do it a second time. Not so bad to talk about the topics again, but in an intensive work week you have to find the time for the second attempt.
That’s why I want to thank Fabi and Palle today because it worked out so well despite all the obstacles. Besides that, I just have a lot of fun with the two scoundrels. I would also like to thank you – also on behalf of the two boys – for remaining loyal to us and listening to us every week.
We’re now consistently in the top 20 in the German tech podcast charts, both on Spotify and Apple – and of course that makes us happy! And allow me one last big thank you: To my dear colleagues Stefan and Ezequiel, who take over the post-production every week and invest a lot of work and heart so that a new episode is available for you every Saturday!
