Case of hit-and-run – racing skier brought girl (13) to fall

After a skiing accident on the Stubai Glacier in which a 13-year-old girl was injured, the police are looking for witnesses. A skier in a racing suit ran over the girl’s skis.

On October 10 at around 1:50 p.m., an unknown female skier in the municipality of Neustift im Stubai in the Stubai Glacier ski area on the Daunferner piste of a 13-year-old German national who was traveling down the valley as a member of a training group, coming from the rear right over the front of her skis As a result, the 13-year-old fell, suffered injuries of an unspecified degree and was flown to the Innsbruck clinic with the emergency helicopter after first aid by the piste rescue service. According to witness statements, the unknown skier had to notice the accident, but continued her journey without stopping. After the investigation has been completed, a complaint will be made to the responsible authorities.Personal descriptionDescription of the second skier involved: Woman between the ages of 30 and 40 with a white racing suit and probably red ski poles and red ski boots.
