Back in February of this year, Cash-App, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey’s payment application, introduced Bitcoin payments via the Lightning Network. Now it is also possible to receive cryptocurrencies for the approximately 40 million users of the cash app. That’s about six times the population of El Salvador. This was announced by Cash Apps product manager Michael Rihani on twitter.
An important step in the direction of crypto mass adoption. Because with the new integration, users in the USA can now make Bitcoin payments among themselves at top speed. Most recently, the Cash app enabled its users to convert their paychecks into Bitcoin with the “Pay me in Bitcoin” feature.
