For several years, cleaning has been carried out by the subcontractor Onet, the leader in the sector in France. And unsurprisingly, the revelations turned out to be shocking. First, Marie Maurice had to take training in bio-cleaning. Initially scheduled for 14 hours, it has been reduced by half. And only one outfit was provided per employee, instead of the eleven required by regulation. Then, the first day of work in the hospital, and the first problem: a severe lack of equipment. Impossible to find the slightest broom to decontaminate the floors. “I don't have a headband broom. Anyone know where I can find a broom? Is this a joke ?!”, asks Marie Maurice, in vain. The only solution ? Make a broom with the means at hand, that is, putting together a few pieces of old brooms lying around.

And the failures follow one after another: "We saw of employees (cleaning) in 6 min 50 while this should be done in a minimum of 15 minutes for each room. Sometimes, some housekeepers, who keep the premises clean do not change gloves between two rooms”, summarizes Elise Lucet in the columns of TV Mag. But the journalist nevertheless wishes to recall that “it's not their fault, because they are subjected to very high work rates by the company that hires them. " In addition, she specifies that certain (derisory) measures have been taken since the start of the health crisis: “They may have had a little more time to clean up the Covid services, but they only received a 500 euros bonus while all the hospital staff received 1,500 euros. And since they went on strike for 7 days to get this money, we took more money away from them. "
