Cash investigation: what is the theme of the show this Tuesday, March 1?

After a last-minute deprogramming on February 1, a new issue of Cash investigation will be broadcast on March 1 at 9:10 p.m. on France 2. But what subject did journalist Elise Lucet look into?

Télé Star announced to you several days ago that the Cash investigation program on 1er February 2022 had been urgently deprogrammed despite an attractive program: behind the scenes of fast food giant McDonald’s. Usually broadcast once a month, France 2’s flagship program presented by Elise Lucet will be broadcast this Tuesday 1er March at 9:10 p.m., but with a completely different theme. Exit junk food, direction… abuse in nursing homes. According to the press release published by the channel, this new episode is indeed titled Ehpad: time for accounts?” and looks at how private groups manage to “maximize their profits, often to the detriment of the well-being of residents and the working conditions of their employees”.

Why such a change of program? Simply for follow the news of the last few weeks to start on a hot topic rather than a cold one. Especially since for her investigation, Marie Meurice, journalist behind the investigation for Elise Lucet, relied in particular on THE book that blew up all the scandals around nursing homes and particularly around the Orpea group. Journalist Victor Castanet recently published his book “The gravediggers“after three years of investigation and 250 interviews. The book targets Orpea, a major player in the care of the elderly sector, which has been singled out for its management which prioritizes profits over the well-being of its patients and even its employees.

The Ehpad sector is not serene

However, Elise Lucet’s investigation also covers other groups. “After having tackled the mistreatment in Special Envoy and Evidence, we investigate the profits made by Korian and DomusVi, the numbers two and three in the sector“explained the journalist to TV Mag. Groups that have directly felt the pressure of such a topic when it was announced by France 2. The founder of DomusVi, Yves Journel, indeed recently published an open letter to Elise Lucet in the Figaro. “We’ll see what you explain on the 1er March on television. Know that, for us, the human results count above all”. No date has yet been given for the broadcast of the issue of Cash investigation centered on McDonald’s
