On September 16, 2022, the Casino group, Tikehau and Bpifrance signed the definitive transfer agreement with Ardian for the sale of a majority stake in GreenYellow.
All the regulatory authorizations required for the control of concentrations and foreign investments having been obtained, the effective completion will take place on October 18, 2022 at the latest, the date on which the Group will lose control of the subsidiary.
This operation values GreenYellow’s equity at 1.1 billion euros. The proceeds of this disposal for the Casino group, after deducting the amount reinvested, will thus amount to 600 million euros.
The Casino group has also entered into a pre-financing operation with Farallon Capital for a share of the sale price for a nominal debt amount of €350 million.
