Raw Fury returns to introduce a newcomer to its catalog. Developed by Bytten Studio, Tape Beasts is an open-world RPG that will be available on PC via Steam, the Microsoft Store as well as the PC Game Pass from April 26, 2023. But that’s not all since it should also land on Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Xbox Game Pass sometime in spring 2023.
Cassette Beasts takes you to New Wirral, an island inhabited by many cute and strange creatures. Stuck on this island, you’ll have to find a way to get home. To achieve this you will have to explore every corner of the island and adopt the technique of the local adventurers. Namely, recording monsters on your audio tapes to get their abilities.
In total, nearly 120 different monsters can be recorded on your tapes. Enough to have what you need with you during your fights. All you have to do is press play to take on the form of one of your new combat companions. It will also be possible to merge the forms of creatures to create a new one. Bytten Studio thus promises more than 14,000 possible combinations in the game. The choice will therefore be vast when deciding which fighting style suits you best. It will also be possible to play in co-op with a friend in local multiplayer mode to face the unknown in pairs.
