Caterpillar: launches four battery-electric machines


(CercleFinance.com) – In order to support its customers during the energy transition, Caterpillar will present four prototype electric machines, including prototype batteries, at the bauma 2022 show from October 24 to 30 in Munich, Germany.

These prototypes include the 301.9 mini excavator, 320 medium excavator, 950 GC medium wheel loader and 906 compact wheel loader.

The machines are powered by prototype Caterpillar batteries and include an on-board AC charger. The company will offer an outboard DC fast-charging option.

“Caterpillar is well positioned to help customers achieve their sustainability goals, including reducing jobsite emissions,” said Tony Fassino, president of the construction industries group.
