As part of Queen Elizabeth’s jubilee celebrations, († 96) Prince William, 40, and Kate traveled to Jamaica in March. For a reception hosted by Governor General Sir Patrick Allen, Catherine chose a robe that made her look like a fairytale princess: dark green tulle fabric, a flared skirt, ruffles at the off-shoulder neckline and glittering crystal appliqués make the dress a real eye-catcher. Designed by Jenny Packham, a British fashion designer who has been one of Kate’s favorites for years – priced at €5,969, it’s definitely one of her more expensive gowns. She wore her hair up to show off the gold earrings with green emeralds, on loan from the Queen.

5. Pink business look

The palace recently announced that it no longer wanted to publish any information about the outfits of Kate and Co. Too much attention is paid to the clothes and not enough to the purposes for which they are used. For a meeting with the British Minister of Health and the British Minister for Family Affairs, Kate chooses an expressive outfit: the pink power suit by Alexander McQueen (price around 3,000 euros) is elegant and calm at the same time. A business look that underlines how important the topics of the appointment, namely children and their development, are to her.

Fashion-wise, 2022 was definitely more exciting than the previous years for Catherine, Princess of Wales. During the corona pandemic, glamorous occasions were canceled and the royals also worked a lot from the home office. So it’s not surprising that Kate was also in the mood for a fresh breeze in her wardrobe. The cost of furnishing the royals for public appointments is borne by the royal family, i.e. King Charles, 74. It is not known whether Kate actually pays the normal price for clothes and jewelry, but she is not allowed to accept any gifts.
