For Catherine, Princess of Wales, Mother’s Day will be a little different than in previous years. She has withdrawn completely from the public to recover from her abdominal surgery and can for the first time fully concentrate on her three children.

Mother’s Day will be celebrated in Great Britain on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Like many other mothers, Catherine, Princess of Wales, on this occasion, can look forward to flowers, painted cards and home-baked treats from her children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5. This year, however, the day will feel a little different for her.

Catherine, Princess of Wales can fully enjoy Mother’s Day

For ten years now, Kate has been able to celebrate this occasion herself as a mother. Until now, however, she had to fulfill numerous other duties in the service of the crown. She has been recovering from an operation on her stomach since mid-January and, according to the palace’s announcement, will not attend any public appointments until Easter. For the first time this Mother’s Day she can concentrate entirely on her offspring and let them pamper her.

For the first time in years, she can fully enjoy being a full-time mother and not having to juggle her family life with her royal duties and appointments. “Kate may not have gone to school or attended sporting events, but she has been able to spend a lot of time at home with her children in the last few weeks and that will have done her a lot of good,” says Emily Nash, royal expert for the British newspaper Hello! ” secure. “Her family is the center of her world. Having George, Charlotte and Louis at home has undoubtedly given her great encouragement.”

The Waleses released private recordings for Mother’s Day

Even if the people currently have to forego new appearances by the 42-year-old, they can perhaps look forward to a new recording of her with the children. In recent years, the Waleses regularly published new, private family photos for Mother’s Day or showed their fans how they celebrated the day. Last year they shared a picture that showed Kate and the kids sitting in a tree at their Norfolk country home, Anmer Hall. The second photo showed her with her youngest son Louis in her arms.

In 2021, the three of them baked their mother a cake and wrote cards to their late grandmother, Princess Diana, †36, as they showed on social media at the time. George, Charlotte and Louis have certainly prepared very special surprises for their mother this year.
