Catherine, Princess of Wales, underwent abdominal surgery and will remain in hospital for the next two weeks. Now the palace has confirmed another detail about Kate’s health.
On Wednesday afternoon, January 17, 2024, the Palace announced that Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, is in hospital after a procedure. “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to the London clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The operation was successful and she is expected to remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to her “continue recovery,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. Although the court will not make the reasons for the operation public, it has now confirmed that it had nothing to do with cancer.
Palace reveals another detail
Shortly after the operation was announced, concerns began to spread among Royal fans. Several royal correspondents have also spoken out on social media and explicitly emphasized that Kate does not suffer from cancer. Daily Mail editor Rebecca English now makes it clear on her X account, formerly Twitter, that this information has been confirmed by the palace.
“Those who wonder why journalists are describing the Princess’s condition as ‘non-cancerous’ when she is keeping the details of her condition secret can rest assured that the Princess’s advisers are happy to make this information public, to minimize public concern about their condition,” she explains.
Catherine, Princes of Wales, will not appear again until after Easter at the earliest
Recovery in your own four walls will take some time. “Based on current medical knowledge, it is unlikely that she will be able to return to public before Easter,” the palace statement continued. According to royal expert Chris Ship, Prince William has also “cancelled a number of public appearances to care for the Princess and her three children. He will also reduce his public duties during her recovery.”
