Cathy Hummels and Mats Hummels are officially divorced. The ex-husbands want to continue to form a team for their son Ludwig.
Entrepreneur and presenter Cathy Hummels (34) and her ex-husband, soccer star Mats Hummels (34), have officially divorced. The ex-couple appeared this Monday morning for the divorce hearing at the district court in Munich, as reported by the “Bild” newspaper. After more than seven years of marriage together, the couple is finally going their separate ways shortly before Christmas.
Mats Hummels is late to his own divorce
According to information from the “Bild” newspaper, the court date could only begin about ten minutes late, since BVB professional Hummels apparently appeared too late for his own divorce. Ex-wife Cathy Hummels humorously took up the delay on Instagram. In a story she wrote: “I’m waiting for @aussenrist15. There are appointments when you shouldn’t be late”, followed by a winking smiley.
The ex-husbands want to continue to form a team for their son Ludwig (4). In a joint statement, they said, “Today marked our divorce. We continue to be friends, family and caring parents.” After the court hearing, Mats and Cathy Hummels first went to have breakfast together. “We had 13 wonderful years,” the ex-couple said.
