For years, Cathy Hummels has had to keep asking questions about her marriage to professional footballer Mats Hummels. Now the moderator has spoken plainly.
Are Cathy Hummels, 33, and her husband Mats Hummels, 33, still together? Rumors and speculations have been lingering for months that the three-year-old Ludwig’s parents have long since separated. It’s not the first time the host has had to justify and defend their relationship and marriage. Now she expresses herself again in the RTL interview about the family situation.
Cathy Hummels: “Everything is fine for us”
When asked how she would deal with relationship issues at the moment, Hummels replied directly: “Relaxed!” She gives the reporter David Modjarad a mischievous smile. Why not – after all, Cathy knows these types of interviews that are about her private life.
“I always say: Everything is good for us and we will always be and stay a family – no matter how,” Hummels continues. An answer that still leaves room for maneuver. The 33-year-old prefers to leave out a clear statement. Mats and Cathy are also rather covered on Instagram, as far as a clear statement is concerned. It is true that the family shares more insights again, which they also show together; however, the lines on this are often of a cryptic nature.

So also on New Year’s Eve. The BVB star appears on Instagram with his wife and son Ludwig. Both Cathy and Mats beam into the camera. But the caption creates question marks on the forehead of some followers: “No matter how difficult the past is, you can always start over”, says the entrepreneur. Does the Buddha quote refer to their marriage or the New Year? The Hummels leave that open too.
