Cathy Hummels rarely talks about her marriage to Mats in interviews, she is vehemently silent about rumors of separation. On the other hand, the entrepreneur likes to share photos of her family on Instagram. Same on Father’s Day.
Presumably only the two know exactly what the current relationship status is between Mats, 33, and Cathy Hummels, 34. After the past turbulent weeks, in which a “Dinner Date” by Mats Hummels and GNTM winner Céline Bethmann, 23, dominated the headlines, the couple flew to Miami a few days ago with friends and their son Ludwig, 4. Cathy repeatedly filmed the footballer in her Instagram stories, even shared a few holiday photos with Mats and her son.
Mats + Cathy Hummels: Their family life is “special” and “different”
Back in Germany, Cathy is now using Father’s Day on May 26, 2022 to dedicate a few loving lines to her Mats. The 34-year-old shares two photos, one showing her with Mats and one with her father. Regarding the recording with her husband, she writes: “Most of you know him, the footballer, but very few private Mats, I know him pretty well and for a long time, 15 years.” Then Cathy gets a little cryptic: “Mats is Ludwig’s wonderful dad and even if our family life is very special and different, we always have the most beautiful thing in common in the world: the most valuable people in the world, namely Ludwig. We’re even with him always agree [sic].” Hummels leaves open exactly why her family life is “special” and “different”.
However, the entrepreneur also emphasizes that she and Mats do everything for their son “so that he is happy and has a nice, carefree life [sic].”
Cathy also shares sentimental lines about the intimate snapshot with her father. “My dad. My wonderful dad. I have a dad @fischerfredi and seeing you happy is my priority. When you make music, you shine and are happy,” said the 34-year-old. “I hope you can keep making music for all of us and for ME for a long time to come because I’m your biggest fan & groupie. I love you. Thank you for always supporting me and helping me to live and sort my dream and my life .”
She ends her emotional post with the words “With love for you two dads, your Cathy”. Seems like all the rumors and negative headlines aren’t changing the close bond Cathy and Mats Hummels have had for the past 15 years.
