Cats like Stray too (except mine)

Of course cats love it straythe video game that pays homage to them in the most beautiful way.

Cat lovers have been living a waking dream since July 19, 2022, thanks to the video game stray — available on PS5, PS4 and PC. Developed by BlueTwelve Studio, it offers the opportunity to embody a cute little ginger feline, lost in a city from which he must escape. From the first trailer, we knew it would win over cat fans. But what about the cats themselves?

Imagine there is a Twitter account called Cats Watching Straywhose sole purpose is to share moments when real cats watch the video game stray. It already has nearly 12,000 subscribers, as of June 21, 2022, when it did not exist before the launch of the title. Inspired, among other things, by many memes featuring cats, stray is feeding the machine himself. And it’s hilarious.

All those cats raving about Stray

Cats are obviously captivated by stray and we would really like to know the bottom of their thoughts. What do they say when they see a buddy virtual, displayed on a surface they can touch, but which does not produce the result they hope for? In any case, the reactions really make you smile, between those who are challenged by the hero’s meow (which the player can provoke by pressing a button) and those who put their paw on the television (the most daring) – without forgetting unfortunate falls.

If you want your daily dose of cuteness, don’t hesitate to follow this Cats Watching Stray account, which should be flooded with videos and photos, each more adorable than the next (you can join the movement by calling out @CatsWatchStray on the social network social). On the other hand, you won’t find my own cat there, who remained totally unmoved when I was playing (even though I made the main character meow a lot in stray). Generally speaking, my cat doesn’t care what’s on the television. He is not really attracted by screens (he loves the car of Mario Kart: Home Circuit, in contrast). We hope your cat is a little more concerned.

And the dogs in all this? Well, they can be a lot less friendly, as evidenced by this footage:
