Caught by train crossing tracks

tsf. On Easter Monday morning, one person died in an accident at the train station in the Bern municipality of Wichtrach. As the Bern canton police announced on Tuesday, according to initial findings, the person wanted to cross the tracks when they were hit by a train coming from Bern. Despite warning signals and emergency braking, the accident could no longer be prevented. The canton police have started investigations into the background and the course of the accident.
