Caught in a forest – drug driver fled in a stolen car

A 26-year-old from Linz tried to avoid being stopped by the police with all his might. The drug driver sped away from the officers in a stolen car, overtaking him several times and endangering other road users. He was finally caught in a forest.

A drug driver fled from the police in a stolen car in St. Florian am Inn on Sunday afternoon. The officers wanted to stop the car at 3:40 p.m. in the town of Haid, but it overtook three cars at far too high speed and endangered five other vehicles with risky driving maneuvers before driving left across a meadow and into a field. The man then fled on foot. Transferred to prison The officers finally found him in a forest. In the stolen car, which also had stolen license plates, they found drug paraphernalia with traces of drugs. Since the health of the 26-year-old Iranian from Linz deteriorated, he was taken to the Schärding Clinic accompanied by a police patrol and finally transferred to the Ried prison.
