CD Projekt RED has recently shared some information about its upcoming projects. The studio has announced excellent news for the next installment of The Witcher saga.

Many projects in progress

After going through some turmoil following the difficult launch of Cyberpunk 2077Cd Projekt RED has worked hard to improve its title and rehabilitate it in the eyes of the world. A result accomplished with exemplary monitoring and the release of Phantom Libertyan experience that brilliantly completes the story of the original game.

But now that CDPR is done with Cyberpunk 2077, the studio is now turning its attention to its new projects. In early 2022, CD Projekt RED had announced the start of work on a new installment of The Witcher under Unreal Engine 5. An announcement followed a few months later by the presentation of all the studio’s new projectsincluding Orion, the sequel to CP77, as well as Hadar, a brand new license. Two years later, CDPR reveals even more about these new games.

New Witcher Game Is Coming to Fruition

Recently, Cd Projekt RED held a new meeting with its investors in order to draw up a new financial report. The opportunity for the studio to address various points concerning the future, including the development of all its new titles and more particularly that of Polaris, the next The Witcher game and the most advanced title of the studio.

As CD Projekt co-CEO Michał Nowakowski explained, things will soon accelerate for Polaris as “The development team is approaching a major milestone that will mark the end of the pre-production phase“. In fact, the developers in charge of Polaris will be able to fully enter the production phase and work on the title. As shown in the visual shared above, the team working on Polaris is made up of 410 developers, or nearly two thirds of CDPR’s entire workforce. The title is therefore receiving special attention, a project that promises to be colossal. More information will certainly be revealed by the studio in the coming months. A case to follow closely.
