CD Projekt (The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077) persists: no, it’s no

While the video game industry is evolving with major takeovers (and layoffs), some studios still manage to remain independent while offering great gameslike CD Project (even if layoffs were made last year). The Polish studio behind the trilogy The Witcher And Cyberpunk 2077 was at the heart of a takeover rumor last year.

CD Project had then stated that he wanted to remain independent and that he was not for salecomments reiterated this week by the chief strategy officer Adam Kiciński in an interview with Parkiet :

We are not interested in integrating into a larger entity. Throughout our lives, we have worked to achieve the position we currently hold. We believe that in a few years we will be even bigger and stronger.

Casually, CD Project remains a fairly young studio in the industry. It started in 2007 with The Witcherthen other opuses and derivatives emerged, until the new franchise Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020. The Polish studio now has a bunch of projects on the way, including a remake of its first game, a new trilogy The Witcher and a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. All this should therefore still be done in complete independence.

If you haven’t done so yet, you can find Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition from €53.59 on Amazon, Cdiscount, there Fnac And GOG.com.
