In his book The Jubillar mystery – Investigation at the heart of a disappearance, released this Thursday, March 17, Ronan Folgoas looks back on the events that followed the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar. The journalist thus reports that Delphine’s companion, Cédric Jubillar, left his home after declaring the nurse missing. But when he left, he left the two family dogs in deplorable conditions.
Abandoned dogs. When Delphine Jubillar went missing in December 2020, Cedric Jubillar had to leave the family home. A necessary departure so that the investigators can carry out their investigation at the scene. The companion of the 33-year-old nurse therefore put his suitcases in his parents’ apartment “where they already live at six in an eighty square meter.” A restricted space which therefore forced him to leave behind their two dogs. In The Jubillar mystery – Investigation at the heart of a disappearance to editions Studiofact, Ronan Folgoas tells how the former plasterer abandoned his pets in dramatic conditions.
When leaving his house for a long period, Cédric Jubillar “feeds his two Shar-Pei: this breed of dog, recognizable by the ample skin that falls on the head, is reputed to be calm, robust and endowed with a good guardian instinct.” A breed that the couple had chosen because “it was Delphine’s favourite.” Usually both canids pass “night in the basement” and go back upstairs to their masters during the day.
The two dogs “covered in patches of frost”
But in this winter period, the dogs therefore find themselves in the cold all day, since no one is at home anymore. “Gnocchi and Oprah therefore seem doomed to face the winter weather, day and night, without shelter., reports Ronan Folgoas in his book. The two dogs then spent several days outside, in freezing cold. “Fortunately (…), they will be placed in the SPA refuge du Garric following the intervention of a neighbor concerned about their fate”, says the author. A necessary investment because “the two dogs, very weak, had their hair covered in patches of frost. “
