In an investigation called Cédric and Delphine Jubillar, at the origins of a cursed idyll, Le Figaro explores the childhood of the Jubillar spouses and in particular the complicated relationship of Cédric, the main suspect in the disappearance of his wife, with his half-brother.
Nineteen months have passed since the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, which occurred on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020 in Cagnac-les-Mines, but the protagonists of the case are far from having revealed all their secrets. In the second part of a survey called Cédric and Delphine Jubillar, at the origins of a cursed idyllpublished Monday, July 18, Le Figaro is interested in the past of the Jubillar couple. The dossier explores in particular the tormented childhood of Cédric Jubillar, abandoned by his mother at the age of 2 and then dragged from foster families to homes until he came of age.
According to the writings of our colleagues, Cédric Jubillar had a complicated relationship with his biological mother, Nadine, but also with certain other members of his family. In particular, he had relationship difficulties with his little half-brother, Quentain, born of his mother’s union with a new man, Olivier Fabre, while Cedric was in foster care. If Quentain was also placed, the young Jubillar harbored an unhealthy jealousy towards him. The boy suffered from hyperactivity, which required a lot of attention from his entourage. “Cédric feels a certain form of injustice with regard to this favoritism”, notes the report of the Childhood Social Assistance (ASE), consulted by Le Figaro.
From “petty offender” to ideal culprit
This anger, the one who will baptize himself “the little delinquent” maintained it all his life, to the point of becoming, as an adult, the ideal culprit in a murder case. Now 34, he is the main suspect in the case of the disappearance of his wife. If he fully denies all the charges against him, the investigating judges suspect him of having murdered his wife on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020 before hiding her body in the vicinity of Cagnac-les-Mines. For this reason, Cédric Jubillar has been incarcerated in the Seysses remand center since June 18, 2021. He nevertheless remains presumed innocent.
