Cédric Jubillar soon to be heard: big disappointment for his lawyers

Me Jean-Baptiste Alary, one of Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers, ranted a few days before his client, the main suspect in the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, was again heard by the courts.

While the investigation into the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar – about which you can find all the main elements in this Closer article – continues, Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers are rising up. Me Jean-Baptiste Alary told AFP on May 5, 2022 that the elements of the file concerning his client to flee in the press are too many, and have been since the beginning of the case. “There can always be indiscretions, but (…) of this magnitude, it is quite unprecedented”. With his colleagues Me Emmanuelle Franck and Me Alexandre Martin, the lawyers of the main suspect in the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar have therefore decided to write to the public prosecutor of Toulouse in order to denounce thesetoo regular violations of the secrecy of the instruction“.

The indiscretions in question concern two elements of the investigation which the media recently spoke about, namely the psychiatric expertise of Cédric Jubillar, and the results of the analysis of the broken glasses of Delphine Jubillar. These two subjects have caused a lot of ink to flow, but Me Jean-Baptiste Alary points out that the press took hold of them before Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers had time to learn about them. “I don’t know who tramples the secret of the instruction [mais] these violations are increasing” underlined the lawyer hired by Cédric Jubillar shortly after the disappearance of his wife in December 2020. Moreover, recent expert reports are not the only ones to be published in the press very, even too quickly.

Cédric Jubillar will speak on May 12

“For a year and a half, too many leaks have prevented a serene pursuit of this file” protested Me Alary. It remains to be seen whether the Toulouse prosecutor will intervene and, if so, to what extent. In the meantime, research continues to find Delphine Jubillar, who disappeared in Cagnac-les-Mines on December 16, 2020. Indicted for murder of a spouse and imprisoned in the Seysses remand center since June 18, 2021, her husband – with whom she was about to to divorce – will be heard again by the courts on May 12, 2022. Since the beginning of the case, Cédric Jubillar proclaims his innocence and remains, until proven otherwise by the competent authorities, presumed innocent.
