The Sat.1 reality show “Promis unter Palmen” is prematurely withdrawn from the program after the death of candidate Willi Herren.
After the death of candidate Willi Herren (1975-2021), Sat.1 prematurely withdraws its reality TV show “Promis unter Palmen” from its program. The broadcaster confirmed that on twitter. For reasons of piety the remaining episodes will not be shown. “We will try to find a worthy conclusion,” it said. Previously, the broadcaster already had tweeted: “We received sad news today: Willi Herren has died. We are stunned. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.”
Willi Herrens manager and the Cologne police confirmed on Tuesday (April 20) the “Bild” newspaperthat the party singer and TV star died in his Cologne apartment. In the recorded episodes of “Celebs Under Palms” Herren was seen since the start of the second season on April 12th. The finale would have aired on May 31st.
