On Wednesday two new residents will stir up the “Celebrity Big Brother” world: “BTN” star Pascal Kappés and blogger Barbara Kijewski.

Space needs new residents: On Wednesday, Pascal Kappés (31) and travel blogger Barbara “Babs” Kijewski will move to the space station or the Big Planet. How do you know the two “Celebrity Big Brother” newbies?

Professional angler as an underdog

Barbara “Babs” Kijewski is a professional angler, presenter and travel blogger. Born in Berlin and trained as a draftsman, she has already made it to Stefan Raab’s (54) “TV total” with her fishing passion and presented her own show “Das Angelduell” on DMAX. Today she takes her fans into the world of fish on her social media channels.

“Actually, as a freedom-loving person, I don’t fit into such a format because I love being in nature,” explains the new candidate in the Sat.1 interview before moving in. Now she wants to dare to step out of her comfort zone. Kijewski does not mind that it will probably be rather unknown to the residents and many spectators: “Perhaps it is an advantage to move in as an underdog. I am basically a blank sheet and can write on it myself.”

Series star with a special premiere

TV viewers, on the other hand, are familiar with Pascal Kappés. The son of the legendary coach Rudi Kappés, who died in a traffic accident in 2002, initially worked as a model, was named “Mister Saarland” and made a name for himself through his role David in the RTLzwei series “Berlin – Day & Night”. He has a two-year-old son with his ex-wife Denise Merten (31), and in 2020 Kappés came out as bisexual.

With “Promi Big Brother” he is now gaining his first experience of reality TV. As a single, Kappés does not rule out the possibility that he might get closer to someone in his universe: “It always depends on the situation. If you stick together so closely for three weeks, anything is possible.” And how can you score points with him? “There are five points that you have to take to heart with me: honesty, loyalty, respect, thank you and please.”

On Wednesday (8:15 p.m. live on Sat.1), in addition to the two live entries, there is still a special decision to be made: for another celebrity, time in space is coming to an end. For the first time, viewers can vote by phone, SMS and app to decide who has to leave “Celebrity Big Brother”.
