This year's finale of "Celebrity Big Brother" is getting closer. What happened to the winners of the last seven seasons?
On Friday (August 28th, from 8:15 pm, live on Sat.1) the "Celebrity Big Brother" finals of the eighth season will take place. Participation not only earned the winners of recent years a prize and increased awareness, the format even helped them get new jobs.
Season 1: Jenny Elvers
The first season "Celebrity Big Brother" aired in September 2013. Actress and presenter Jenny Elvers (48) was allowed to stay until the 15th day and put on the "PBB" crown at the end. Natalia Osada (30) and Marijke Amado (66) landed behind her. In the years that followed, Jenny Elvers appeared in other TV formats such as "The Perfect Celebrity Dinner" (2014), "Celebrity Shopping Queen" (2014) and "I'm a star, get me out of here!" (2016). 2nd season: Aaron Troschke
In 2012, Aaron Troschke (31) made an unforgettable appearance on "Wer wird Millionär?" down. The then bakery operator earned 125,000 euros and competed with Günther Jauch (64) as a chatterbox in three programs in a row – reason enough to win him as a candidate for "Celebrity Big Brother". In 2014, Troschke won the TV container ahead of Claudia Effenberg (54) and Ronald Schill (61). In the following year Troschke was hired for the third season web show of "Celebrity Big Brother". In 2019, together with the influencer Raffa Zollo, he was the face of the show formats "The youngest rumor" and "Watch Together". In 2020 he will do the digital "warm up show" on "PBB" before the actual broadcast. Troschke still operates his comedy YouTube channel "Hey Aaron !!!" (around one million subscribers).
Season 3: David Odonkor
In 2015 a lawn hero picked up the prize of 100,000 euros: David Odonkor (36) won the race. He would take part in the show again at any time, as he revealed in an interview with the news agency spot on news in 2019. The only condition: His former comrades-in-arms Menowin Fröhlich (32) and Nino de Angelo (56) would have to stay outside. 4th season: Ben Tewaag
Benjamin "Ben" Tewaag (44) succeeded David Odonkor and was the last to walk through the "PBB" door in 2016. The son of actress Uschi Glas (76) donated part of his profit to "brotZeit e.V.", his mother's non-profit organization. In recent years, Tewaag tried more and more to shake off its bad boy image and pursued his career. The ex-smoker tried his hand at being an entrepreneur from 2017, selling his own liquids for e-cigarettes and setting up a film production company called PHX Pictures, which specializes in drone recordings. The Munich actor took on his first cinema role in the film "Feierabendbier". He played the bouncer of a brothel.
5th season: Jens Hilbert
In 2017, Jens Hilbert (42) was able to look forward to 100,000 euros. Willi Herren (45) and Milo Moiré (37) had to admit defeat at the end of the fifth season – under the motto "All or nothing". Before participating in "PBB", the entrepreneur and reality TV star became known on TV through formats such as "Secret Millionaire" or "Celebrity Shopping Queen". As an entrepreneur, the Hessian still earns his money through the beauty company Hairfree and, according to his own statements, is now a self-made millionaire. He is a guest at numerous charity events and enjoys spending time with his horses. As a show jumper, he also competes in tournaments. At the end of 2019 he took part in the celebrity ice dance show "Dancing on Ice". He was last.
Season 6: Silvia Wollny
In the sixth season, the mother of a famous large TV family prevailed: Silvia Wollny (55). Since 2011 she has been accompanied by RTLzwei in the documentary soap "The Wollnys – A terrible big family" in her family life with eleven children. Since her victory on the Sat.1 show, Silvia Wollny has celebrated happy events in her family: daughter Sylvana had her second child in spring 2019 and daughter Sarafina married Peter in July. The head of the Wollnys took advantage of the increasing popularity since the victory and pursued his music career with published hit songs like "We celebrate again and again (Our favorite songs)". This year, she supports resident Ikke Hüftgold (44) with calls to Instagram.
7th season: Janine Pink
Last year, "Köln 50667" star Janine Pink (33) won. Behind her, singer Joey Heindle (27) came in second and "Love Island" star Tobias Wegener (27) came in third. During the "PBB" period, the actress Tobias Wegener got closer, but love did not last away from the TV container. There was a reunion of the two on the Sat.1 show "Promis unter Palmen" in March 2020. In the reality TV show, the two and other celebrities fought each other in challenges. In the end, Bastian Yotta (43) won. Before that, Pink dropped the covers for "Playboy" and graced the April front page of the German edition. She returned to "Promi Big Brother" in 2020 as an expert on "Sat.1 Breakfast TV".
