(Boursier.com) — Cenergy Holdings indicates that Hellenic Cables, its Cables segment, has been awarded by the Independent Electricity Transmission Operator of Greece (ADMIE – IPTO) two “turnkey” projects to carry out the deflection and burial of transmission lines .

Specifically, the first turnkey project involves the design, supply and installation of 400 kV underground cable systems for the diversion of the 400 kV transmission line from Larimna to Aliveri, near the Lilac River on the Evia island in central Greece. The second turnkey project includes the design, supply and installation of 150 kV underground cable systems for the undergrounding of the 150 kV overhead transmission lines “Ladon-Patras” and “Patras-Pyrgos” in the Messatida region in the northern Peloponnese.

The projects will contribute to ensuring the security of supply of the interconnected electricity system in a safe, reliable and environmentally friendly way, as underground networks reduce exposure to risks, while protecting the environment.

The projects are expected to be completed in 2024 and the cables will be manufactured at Hellenic Cables’ factory in Thebes.
