The Salzburg police have once again kept an eye on the Salzburg tuning scene: penalties and reports rained down during a focus check on Saturday night. Officers removed the license plates from 10 vehicles.

The inspectors and technicians from the regional transport department examined a total of 26 vehicles more closely. The experts found 53 crimes. In the case of ten vehicles, the drivers were forbidden to continue driving and the plaque was removed on the spot. Administrative fines of 11,130 euros were imposed on site. Only three drunk drivers in 158 tests In the course of the focus checks, officials also carried out a total of 158 alcohol tests and three rapid drug tests: three drivers were under the influence of alcohol and one even had to have his driver’s license taken away. A further 83 administrative complaints were made, three of which related to speeding. In the case of 19 cars checked, the technicians submitted applications for review under the Drivers’ Act due to concerns, according to the report from the Salzburg State Police Headquarters.
