Already made up of four models, the Garmin Vívomove watch series welcomes a fifth sportier version. The Vívomoves are distinguished from the usual connected watches by their hybrid operation, half-digital half-analog. They display the time in the traditional way, with two hands rotating in a circular dial, but also discreetly integrate an Oled screen in the background to display various health and sports information, as well as smartphone notifications.

The Vívomove Sport integrates the functions of versions 3 and 3S. On the health side, therefore, we find heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) measurements, in particular to monitor sleep, breathing and stress levels. Sports functions are also present with, this time, ten recognized activities, against seven for the Vívomove 3 and 3S, in particular running, walking, weight training, cardio, elliptical trainer, step, yoga, Pilates, breathing exercises … The Vívomove Sport, on the other hand, loses the altimeter, although it is included in the other two models, thus not being able to keep the function of calculating the number of floors climbed.

In terms of design and workmanship, the Vívomove Sport differs from its 3 and 3S sisters by the abandonment of the stainless steel bezel, which allows it to lighten up a bit, with the case weighing only 19. g (33.8 g with strap), compared to 24.5 g for the small Vívomove 3S (38.6 g with strap). The Vívomove Sport is also barely larger than the latter, its case measuring only 40 mm in diameter, against 39 mm for the 3S. The interchangeable silicone strap, on the other hand, is a little wider, 20 mm against 18 mm, for a better hold during sports activities.

Regarding the display, the Oled screen of the Vívomove Sport retains dimensions very close to that of the 3S (8.6 x 18.5 mm against 8.9 x 18.3 mm), but gains a little in definition (154 x 72 pixels against 132 x 64 pixels).

As for autonomy, Garmin still promises up to five days of use in connected mode. In watch mode, on the other hand, the manufacturer indicates that his Vívomove Sport is only able to last a small additional day, while the 3 and 3S are given for a period of two weeks. Too bad, because the purely analogical operation made it possible to continue to enjoy your watch for longer with a single charge, even though you could no longer obtain the time with the hands.

In terms of pricing, Garmin offers its Vívomove Sport in different colors (black, sea green and chocolate) at the same price as its Vívomove 3 and 3S, i.e. € 180.
