It may well be thepc screen
ultimate for gamers looking for performance and immersion. Code name “MEG 271Q Mini LED”, this is the first monitor Mini LED
to display such a high refresh rate.

We knew MSI was particularly interested in the Mini-LED for its monitors. After unveiling the MSI MEG Artymis 341 Mini-LED a few weeks ago, a much improved version of the MPG Artymis 343CQR, the manufacturer returns to the forefront with a very ambitious gaming screen.

Mini-LED associated with a Rapid IPS panel

Ambitious, because MSI has chosen not to make any compromises on performance. With these 27 inches, its 16: 9 format and its WQHD definition (2560 x 1440 pixels), the MSI MEG 271Q arrives above all with a latest-generation Rapid IPS panel coupled with a Mini-LED backlight.

The promises are tempting on paper, Rapid IPS technology being designed to come as close as possible to TN panels in terms of responsiveness. A fact that we had already noticed during our test of the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD, also equipped with a Rapid IPS panel produced by AU Optronics. Only, MSI adds with this novelty a refresh rate capable of reaching 300 Hz, and a patented Mini-LED backlight that would offer a total of over 500 dimming zones, a very good value for a screen of this type.

An e-sport screen that does not forget the image

And it’s not over, because the presence of such a backlight allows the screen to rise very high in brightness. MSI is not announcing any figures yet, but the MEG 271Q Mini LED does display a VESA Display HDR1000 certification, which is a good sign.

Little other information has been released about this screen. We know that it will be G-Sync Ultimate certified, that it will offer a GtG response time of 1 ms, or that it covers 97% of the DCI-P3 space. Such a value does not leave too much doubt as to the presence of Quantum Dots within a QDEF film. Finally, the Mini-LED should make it possible to offer a more dynamic and contrasting image, a point that is often lacking in IPS panels.

Launch date and price have not yet been communicated.
