At CES 2022, TCL lifts the veil on a new version of its NXTWEAR connected glasses.

A revised version that arrives just a few months after the first version.

TCL’s NXTWEAR G Goggles TAKE THE AIR

At the very end of June 2021, TCL unveiled its NXTWEAR G glasses, allowing the user to enjoy (virtually) a 140 “diagonal screen installed right in front of his eyes. The whole thing weighs only 100 grams on the scale and works with signature Sony OLED screens, each offering Full HD resolution.

At the start of 2022, TCL is making a new version of its NXTWEAR G official, with the AIR version. The latter correct some faults of the first version, in particular in terms of comfort and general ergonomics.

Initially, TCL managed to lighten its frame by producing a version of its NXTWEAR AIR glasses which now only displays 75 grams on the scale. TCL has also made various adjustments on the design side, with the added bonus of a customization side to benefit from the choice of a Ray-Ban style look, or rather futuristic eyewear style.

The glasses developed by TCL still do not have a battery and are powered directly via USB Type-C, through the smartphone (or computer) to which they are connected. There are 1080p compatible micro-OLED screens, capable of reproducing a 140 “diagonal screen. The glasses have small stereo speakers, but you can obviously pair a Bluetooth headset if you wish, so as not to disturb neighbors.

When ? How many ?

Currently, TCL plans to release this new model in the first quarter of 2022, but has not formalized any pricing. The previous version was priced around $ 680.
