CES 2023 – Philips Hue brings Ambilight to Samsung TVs with a €130 app

At CES 2023 in Las Vegas, Signify announced the launch of the Philips Hue Sync TV app for Samsung TVs. This new paid app allows users to enjoy a light-sync experience with all content viewed on their TV, including native streaming apps such as Netflix and Disney+.

This new app syncs Philips Hue connected lighting products with everything viewed on the Samsung TV. Users can enjoy a lights-sync experience even with aspect ratios such as 8K, 4K and HDR 10+.

Configuration at your fingertips

The new Philips Hue Sync TV app offers various functions for creating tailor-made atmospheres: users can adjust the intensity of synchronization, adjust the brightness of the light, select video or game mode, activate automatic start, etc. .

Note that Signify also offers a box, the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box, which performs the same operation for a price of €249 but which works with other brands of televisions.

The Philips Hue Sync TV app is available for download on 2022 and newer Samsung QLED TVs in the Q60 range or above. The app can be purchased and downloaded from the App Store on your Samsung TV. It will still cost you €129.99.
