After scouring the world’s largest tech show for the most innovative products, last week we compiled a list of the best products of CES 2023. We’ve highlighted six products that are innovative, unique and have the potential to stand out. have the greatest and most positive impact. Here they are.
Displace’s Wireless TV

Televisions have been the centerpiece of the show for decades, and their makers set up the biggest stands there. It was therefore extremely unlikely that a six-person start-up could come in and outperform the biggest companies at the show. Yet that’s exactly what Displace did, unveiling the world’s first wireless TV at CES 2023.
The TV is surprisingly lightweight and runs on hot-swappable batteries that last about a month. It connects wirelessly to a base station to receive content. Another innovation: the television can be easily moved to different places in the house. It can attach to almost any surface, without support, thanks to suction technology. The device also does not use a remote control, it is controlled by gestures and a smartphone app.
Displace wants to improve the television experience, and has big ambitions in this regard. Its 55-inch TV will go on sale later this year for $2,999.

The connected ring Evie by Movano

Movano is creating the first wearable fitness tracker that will be certified by the FDA as a medical device, to raise the level of accuracy and reliability of wearables. This is because most current fitness trackers aren’t actually very accurate. And they usually don’t need to be. But Movano’s idea of bringing medical-grade fitness trackers to market is significant.
For the first product it’s bringing to market, Movano is also tackling another problem with current fitness trackers: they’re almost all designed for men first, and then eventually adapted to women’s needs. Movano flips the script with its Evie ring, making this product primarily for women and optimized for women’s health.
Evie will be released in mid-2023. Fitness trackers for men will follow.

Elite’s HTC Vive XR

The ZDNET team also went to CES 2023 to see if anyone could interest us in the metaverse. And HTC delivered on its word, unveiling arguably the most impressive XR headset we’ve seen yet and reiterating its promise to work on an open ecosystem that will make the metaverse a 3D version of the internet powered by AI. It would be a much better metaverse than anything we’ve seen so far.
The HTC Vive XR Elite headset is lightweight and comfortable, it offers high-end visuals, and it’s relatively modestly priced ($1,999) for a high-end headset. The headset can stream content from phones, PCs and online VR platforms. HTC claims to work with all players in the virtual reality (VR) industry who wish to create an open and cross-platform metaverse, like the open internet.
At CES 2023, Neal Stephenson, the author of the novel The virtual samurai, has joined HTC in calling for the open metaverse. As a reminder, the author contributed in his novel to create a vision of the metaverse. He is also known for championing an open metaverse. His start-up Lamina1, based on blockchain technology, is becoming a key player in the debate on the open metaverse.

Lenovo’s ThinkBook Wireless Docking Station

Among Lenovo’s many announcements of new laptops and desktops — and even a smartphone — is the Lenovo ThinkBook Wireless Dock.
The docking station allows your laptop to connect wirelessly to two 4K monitors at 60Hz. The accessory also comes with a wireless charging pad. The latter works with one model of Lenovo laptop for now, but it could be integrated into future models in the future.
The accessory is powered by technology from Synaptics. It’s also built into a wireless docking station from Targus, which will work with laptops from other brands.
In summary, this technology could change the lives of increasingly mobile professionals, who work between their office, their home and the various meeting rooms. It would allow them to connect more easily to any large screen, much more efficiently and flexibly than current USB-C connection solutions. Here’s hoping the technology expands in the years to come.
Samsung Display’s Flex Hybrid

Interest in foldable smartphones peaked in 2019. After that date, most phone makers therefore put their foldable devices on the sidelines. But not Samsung, which continues to release new foldable models every year. At CES 2023, its component manufacturing arm, Samsung Display, showcased its latest concepts for the future of smartphones. There is a set of different models that bend, curve and extend.
Among these prototypes, the most ambitious is the Flex Hybrid, which opens like a book. Much like today’s Galaxy Fold 4, except it can then deploy a hidden screen extension, to provide even more screen real estate. Thus, it truly goes from a smartphone to a tablet.
It’s unclear just how usable this concept will be, but its ability to fold and expand at the same time is impressive. It gives a palpable vision of a future where our smartphones, while still fitting in our pockets, could expand to provide us with larger surfaces and better experiences.

FluentPet Connect by FluentPet

Internet stars of recent years include Bunny, nicknamed by the New York Times “the talking female dog of TikTok”. This sheepadoodle dog has indeed learned to communicate with her master by using a sound box to type more than 90 words. His viral videos have allowed him to gather more than 8 million subscribers on his TikTok account.
The sound box used by Bunny is made by a company called FluentPet. And at CES 2023, this company announced FluentPet Connect.
The device not only allows you to hear the sound made by your pet when he presses a specific button, but also receives an alert on your phone when he presses one of the buttons. So if you’re not near him at the time, you can tell he wants to communicate with you. For example, he may want to let you know that the postman has just passed… or that someone he doesn’t know is at the door.
