The Mogo 2 Pro projector introduces ISA 2.0 technology, for “Intelligent Screen Adaptation”. Already present on the brand’s video projectors, this technology makes it possible to focus, correct keystone and even avoid obstacles (on certain models such as the Horizon Pro), all automatically thanks to a camera and a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor. This version 2.0 now uses a laser sensor to improve the precision and above all the speed of image adjustment. Indeed, there is no longer any need to display a pattern to correct keystone or focus. Everything is done on the fly, directly on the video being played. Visually, it’s very impressive, even if in reality it doesn’t fundamentally change the product.
For the rest, the Mogo 2 Pro remains very close to the Mogo Pro and Mogo Pro+. We find a Texas Instruments DLP230NP 0.23 “DMD DLP chip, which displays a native qHD definition of 960 x 540 px, but uses wobulation at 240 Hz to actually display a true Full HD image of 1920 x 1080 px at 60 Hz On the screen or on the wall, we therefore end up with a native Full HD image.The brightness is increased to 350 lumens, against 300 lumens for the Mogo Pro/Pro+.It still carries a battery whose capacity does not The Mogo 2 Pro is a little bigger than the Mogo Pro, standing 16.6cm tall compared to its predecessor’s 14.6cm. It should be noted that the Harman Kardon audio system has obviously been replaced by a homemade system.
The XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro projector should be available in the first half of the year for around €650, the selling price of the Mogo Pro+. The latter should logically drop, as was the case with the Mogo Pro when the “Plus” model was released. The Mogo Pro model remains an excellent deal as the differences with the “Plus” model are so small.
