The Californian manufacturer Jackery is no stranger to the energy sector. Since its creation in 2012, the brand’s mission has been to offer you solar energy in quantity using batteries or solar panels to install in your home or to transport. The efforts made by Jackery have been rewarded, with no less than 58 international awards awarded to recognize the manufacturing quality of the various solar batteries and other power solutions, but also the design of these products.

From Monday January 8, CES 2024, the international trade fair for new technologies, will be held in Las Vegas. Jackery is one of the exhibitors presenting their new products for cleaner and environmentally friendly energy. Let’s discover together these new products which will very soon improve your daily life.

A generator to power the house

The electrical current provided by the various energy suppliers may be subject to breakdowns or malfunctions of varying duration. If this happens, it can have a profound impact on our daily lives. Our home devices are constantly powered by electricity, and teleworking professionals rely even more on optimal operation to complete their work.

Solar energy is a perfect complement to supplying a house with energy, but you still need to have stock to compensate for a breakdown in the electricity network. Jackery therefore worked on a new solar energy generator, accompanied by batteries to allow you to continue to benefit from electricity during your day, whatever the situation.

The generator can harvest up to 1,200W of solar energy collected by the panels installed on the roof of the house. Excess energy is sent to the batteries supplied with the device, ready for use when you need it.

If the power goes out in your area, there is no need to do anything to activate the generator. Jackery has developed a switch system, which switches to batteries powered by solar energy in just 20 seconds flat.

The system can send up to 10 kWh, and power most electrical equipment for up to three days. The generator intelligently optimizes the power supply to different equipment to obtain constant energy throughout the house and ensure the proper functioning of all vital appliances.

Solar panels for car roofs

Jackery does not just take care of the clean power supply of houses or apartments, but seeks to accompany you wherever you go. If you are a fan of road trips lasting several weeks, you will soon be able to use electrical energy drawn from the sun with this never before seen concept of mobile solar panels.

These are assembled on a tent-shaped support which is installed on the roof of pick-ups or transport vehicles. So when you drive from point A to point B, solar energy is captured and transformed into electrical energy ready to be used when you stop. The solar panels are retractable and foldable at any time, depending on your needs. You can power your coffee maker, recharge a smartphone or even use your laptop without needing to find an electrical outlet. Ideal when you go into the great outdoors, cut off from all links with civilization.

With 6 kWh output, this tent can provide all daily energy needs, from lighting over several days, to cooking your food, including charging your mobile devices. Jackery also indicates that his device can provide two weeks of self-sufficient energy. The device can also be supplemented by batteries which will recover and store the energy collected during your journey.

A solar battery that moves by itself

Jackery continues to innovate to constantly improve the charging of its various solar batteries. The proof is with the Jackery Solar Mars Bot, both battery and autonomous vehicle.

The product takes the form of a small, electric, autonomous vehicle, topped with solar panels that unfold on demand to capture sunlight. The latter can sometimes be capricious and sunny areas can change place at any time of the day. This is why the Jackery Solar Mars Bot can move autonomously to position itself under sunlight in order to recharge the batteries attached to it.

The vehicle includes a large number of sensors which allow it to avoid obstacles in its path and find the best position to optimize charging. So you no longer need to worry about solar power supply when you are outdoors. All you have to do is launch the device into the area, and then wait for it to return once its batteries are fully charged.

The power delivered by the robot is 600W, with a solar conversion efficiency of 25% once the solar panel is deployed. For transport, the Jackery Solar Mars Bot was designed using aluminum, a material that is as strong as it is light, which allows you to take it anywhere with you on your various trips, even to the most remote places.

This innovation was praised by the international press. The Jackery Solar Mars Bot also received the prize TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023 awarded by the American editorial staff of Time Magazinewho praised this inventive and eco-responsible solution, in a world which must quickly reduce its dependence on fossil fuels.
