Xtreme 4, Clip 5 and Go 4 are the names of JBL’s new portable speakers, the first in their catalog compatible with broadcast audio sharing technology.

Continuing to innovate is the key word in the tech world. JBL knows this and it is with this in mind that the American brand has announced its three new speakers, all Auracast compatible.

An AI-boosted speaker is the JBL Xtreme 4

If there’s one word on everyone’s lips during CES 2024, it’s AI. Artificial intelligence, although present in the tech world for years, has seen exemplary growth and increasing interest among the general public in recent months.

It is undoubtedly in this sense that the Xtreme 4, one of JBL’s new speakers, was developed. Accompanied by its AI Sound Boost technology, it can analyze audio in real time using an algorithm designed to optimize the output level, ensuring less distorted and more powerful sound according to the brand.

In addition to these real-time calculations, the Xtreme 4 is equipped with two woofers, two powerful speakers and a double passive radiator. In terms of autonomy, JBL promises no less than 24 hours with the added bonus of the possibility of using the speaker’s battery to recharge your smartphone, for example.

For the rest, we are entitled to Bluetooth 5.3 LE (Low Energy) and, as is often the case with JBL, IP67 certification (dust and water tightness). But the big news is its Auracast compatibility.

Three Auracast compatible speakers

To put it simply, Auracast technology allows you to share audio in “broadcast”; By this, mean that it is possible to share the same audio source on several speakers at the same time, as long as each of them is compatible with this technology.

This is the case of the three new portable Bluetooth speakers from JBL, namely the Xtreme 4 which we talked about just above, but also the Clip 5 and Go 4. The first of them is the logical evolution of the range Clip, but offers a reworked carabiner with a larger opening. The speaker of this speaker has also been improved with a sound announced as more homogeneous and constant bass at high volume; Everything can be used for 12 hours on a single charge.

For the Go 4, announced as the smallest from JBL, it was designed to be taken anywhere thanks to its format and its wider and more durable strap than its big sister. Obviously, small format means short battery life, since this model only offers 7 hours of battery life.
