The manufacturer is launching new robot vacuum cleaners and continuing its conquest of the premium sector with models featuring many advanced features.

CES 2024 is now well and truly launched, and robot vacuum cleaner manufacturers have obviously met in Las Vegas to present their latest innovations. Among the latter, we of course find Roborock. The Chinese brand continues to progress in this highly competitive sector and offers new vacuum cleaners, robots and floor scrubbers at a sustained pace. For this CES, Roborock is presenting no less than four new models, which have in common their high-end positioning, with prices that do not fall below the $1,000 mark.

Roborock S8 Ultra and Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra: major updates to the current range

Rather than a new generation of robot vacuum cleaners, Roborock is updating its current range, the S8, with two new models, the S8 Max Ultra and the S8 MaxV Ultra, which bring their own set of unique features.

Both models integrate a new cleaning system along the walls and plinths called FlexiArm Design. The mops can thus shift a few degrees during cleaning in order to better recover the traces which are nestled in places that are more difficult to access for traditional robot vacuum cleaners. The Roborock S8 Max Ultra and S8 MaxV Ultra are also more powerful, with motors of 8,000 Pa and 10,000 Pa respectively, among the highest values on the market today. The mops rotate at a maximum frequency of 4,000 revolutions/minute.

The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra also integrates a camera which will be used for advanced detection of objects on the ground, but will also allow video calls. This model is also compatible with the Matter home automation standard, and integrates a voice assistant, which can be called via the voice command “ Hello Rocky “.

RockDock Ultra charging bases are equipped with tanks for clean and dirty water, and offer mop washing with water heated to 60°C. A more compact version of the washing station will also be offered to consumers. The latter plugs directly into the house’s water supply for even simpler maintenance.

These two models will be available from April. Announced prices in the United States are $1,599 for the Roborock S8 Max Ultra, and $1,799 for the S8 MaxV Ultra.

Two new, more affordable robot vacuum cleaners from Roborock

With the Q Revo MaxV and Q Revo Pro, Roborock takes over the functionality FlexiArm Design and integrates it with these two devices for more complete and precise cleaning along the walls. The cleaning coverage stated by the brand is 98.8% of the floor area.

The suction power is lower, with 7,000 Pa, which should be quite sufficient for collecting the largest waste in the house. The speed of the mops will be 2,000 rotations per minute.

The Q Revo MaxV model also includes a camera for object recognition by artificial intelligence, the “Hello Rocky” voice assistant, video calls, and Matter connectivity. Both models are finally accompanied by Dock 2.0 washing stations, with self-filling of the water tank and cleaning with water and drying of mops.

These two vacuum cleaners will also be available in April 2024. The American prices communicated by Roborock are $1,199.99 for the Q Revo MaxV and $999.99 for the Q Revo Pro. French prices are not yet indicated by the manufacturer.
