CES 2024 — Roborock Q Revo Pro and MaxV: well-equipped robot vacuum cleaners for less than €1,000

The S8 Max isn’t the only robot making its Roborock debut at CES. The Chinese floor care specialist also took advantage of the show to expand its more affordable Q Revo series. Two new models come to enrich it more precisely: the Q Revo MaxV and the Q Revo Pro.

Mobile mop and more powerful suction

The Q Revo series was launched in summer 2023 here, with the robot of the same name and several notable innovations or exclusives for Roborock. Notably, it was the manufacturer’s first model to rely on two small rotating mops to wash the floor rather than a vibrating mop. The two new models retain this system, while improving it since they can move one of the mops to one side to wash along the walls, like the Dreame L20 Ultra. The mops still rotate at 200 rpm and can again be raised by 10 mm on the carpets.

On the suction side, Roborock mentions increased power: 7000 Pa, compared to 5500 Pa for the old model. Both models are of course equipped with a laser rangefinder to map the house and navigate it methodically, but the Q Revo MaxV also benefits from the Reactive AI obstacle detection and recognition system which is also found on the S8 MaxV Ultra. It is therefore equipped with a camera on the front, which can also be used to make video calls and monitor the house if necessary. Also like the S8 MaxV Ultra, the Q Revo MaxV integrates the Rocky voice assistant.

Hot water for cleaner mops

To accompany the new Q Revo, MaxV and Pro, Roborock also offers a new station. The manufacturer has more precisely revised the station of the first Q Revo. The new one takes its appearance and functions, but heats the water to 60°C to wash mops more effectively. Drying with hot air (45°C) is still included, as is filling the robot’s water tank and emptying the dust bin. Unlike the S8 Max station which is available in a version to be connected to the home water network, that of the Q Revo only offers water tanks to fill and empty for maintenance functions.

Roborock’s new mid-range robots should arrive commercially at the end of the first quarter of 2024, around March. The Q Revo Pro will be launched at the recommended retail price of €849 and the Q Revo MaxV at the recommended retail price of €999.
