CES 2024 – Sennheiser Accentum Plus: a Bluetooth headset almost twin to the Accentum

During CES 2024, Sennheiser unveiled several products including the Momentum 4 headphones, the Momentum Sport but also a brand new portable Bluetooth headset: the Accentum Plus. This model takes up many of the characteristics of the first Accentum of the name, while slightly improving the recipe of the latter.

Minimal new features

Unlike the Accentum which only has physical buttons, the Accentum Plus is controlled using a tactile surface placed under one of its earpieces, like the big brother Momentum 4. It will thus be possible to control volume, playback and listening modes with a simple touch of your finger.

The Accentum Plus also innovates through the presence of improved noise reduction technology compared to the Accentum. In fact, the new headset will be able to automatically adapt the power of noise reduction according to the power of external sounds. Final differences with the Accentum: the Accentum Plus comes with a carrying case and has a 3.5 mm jack input!

The spitting image of the Accentum

Otherwise, the Accentum Plus has everything of an Accentum. The design is almost unchanged, apart from the small furrow that can be seen on the external faces of the earcups. The connection is still made via a Bluetooth 5.2 chip with support for multipoint and the aptX Adaptive codec, autonomy is still promised at 50 hours with a charge of 5 hours in just 10 minutes and the USB-C port still allows to broadcast music. The speakers also seem identical since they have a diameter of 37 mm on both headsets. It remains to be seen whether any improvements in sound reproduction have been made, which we will not fail to verify in a potential future test.
