CES 2024 is the fair for new tech products, particularly for video projectors. In addition to Samsung, Xgimi unveiled two new models running Google TV at the Las Vegas show. We thus discovered the Aladdin, with an integrated ceiling light blending into the decor, and the Horizon Max, benefiting from a dazzling brightness of 3100 lumens.
Xgimi Aladdin, when the video projector thinks it’s a ceiling light
With the Aladdin model, announced last year under the name Magic Lamp in China, Xgimi shows ingenuity by offering an atypical 3-in-1 product, serving as a short-throw video projector, ceiling light and connected speaker .
To go unnoticed, and to declutter the room in the process, this new product attaches directly to the ceiling socket. It thus serves as a traditional light fixture, while being capable of projecting a 100-inch image in Full HD.
Inside, we find Harman Kardon speakers delivering immersive 360° sound. These also work without content being projected, thus transforming the video projector into a simple Bluetooth speaker.
Xgimi Horizon Max: 3100 lumens and IMAX Enhanced certification
With the Horizon Max, Xgimi simply offers a long-throw video projector 35% brighter than the Horizon Ultra, with a brightness of 3100 lumens. To achieve such power, the brand opted for a hybrid light source called Dual Light 2.0, combining triple laser and phosphorescent light.
This projector also delivers an ultra-wide color gamut, 2000:1 contrast and excellent color accuracy. Promising a cinematic experience, Xgimi offers IMAX Enhanced certification, delivering IMAX visual and sound quality directly to individuals.
The Horizon Max also benefits from ISA 5.0 technology, allowing, thanks to a motorized optical unit, to automatically adjust the image to the best projection area on a wall, and to memorize the settings for each wall. The latter thus makes it possible to instantly recognize and readjust the image in places where the device has already been placed.
