(CercleFinance.com) – CGG and TGS announce the second phase of the 3D multi-client study of Foz do Amazonas, in the equatorial margin of Brazil, a study which covers 11,425 square kilometers and will provide high quality complementary data for exploration of this area.
“Existing 2D data and adjacent 3D data indicate the presence of reservoir deposition channels and a contemporary source interval of the Guyana Basin petroleum system at this location,” said the French geoscience group.
The first PSDM imaging products will be available in the fourth quarter of 2023, the final products are planned from the third quarter of 2024. This project is pre-funded by the industry.
