Chad Michael Murray: what happened to the star of the Scott Brothers?

Revealed to the general public with “The Scott Brothers”, Chad Michael Murray has never really had, since, the career that the success of the series nevertheless foreshadowed. We tell you what has become of the American actor.

In Les Frères Scott, he embodied the character of Lucas, opposed on a daily basis, on a basketball court and for the heart of a girl, to his half-brother Nathan (James Lafferty). He is actor Chad Michael Murray, for whom the stars seemed perfectly aligned with the success of the CW series. However, the American, now 40, has never really confirmed. We tell you what happened to him.

After his departure from the Scott Brothers in 2009, at the end of the sixth season of the show, Chad Michael Murray, who had already made a name for himself with his performances in Gilmore Girls and Dawson, is illustrated in a clip by Alicia Keys (Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready). Then continues its journey on the small screen, but at a more modest level. We see him in two episodes of the detective series Southland as well as in three seasons of the thriller Chosen.

It was in 2015 that Chad Michael Murray got his biggest post-Scott Brothers role, playing a veteran of the Second World War in a good ten episodes of the spy series Agent Carter. After ? Much more, if not an appearance in the credits of Scream Queens… The actor, who will be reminded that he had had a small success at the cinema with the horrific film The House of Wax, indeed then experienced a astonishing slump that will last about four years.

During this period away from the spotlight, Chad Michael Murray diversified his activities. He publishes a second novel, American Driftercentered on the journey of a soldier in Brazil (the first, Everlast, being a comic strip), and creates clothing lines, part of the proceeds of which are donated to a hospital and a foundation. We have to wait until 2019 to see the American again to really talk about him. In the third season of Riverdale, he stands out with the role of guru Edgar Evernever (photo below).

The sequel is more surprising: Chad Michael Murray plays Bruce Willis four times in a row (!!) in the feature films Survive, Survive the Game, Killing Field and Fortress: Sniper’s Eye. A quirk of course which, inevitably, makes you want to take an interest in the future trajectory of the actor. Will he one day find success or will he remain a hopeful who did not have the artistic destiny that the success of the Scott Brothers foreshadowed? wait and see
