Chadwick Boseman: Black Panther co-stars at private memorial in Malibu

Family and friends, including his "Black Panther" co-stars, bid farewell to Chadwick Boseman at a private memorial service.

The grief over the surprising and far too early cancer death of actor Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020) at the age of only 43 runs deep. At the weekend, a private memorial service for the "Black Panther" star took place in Malibu, California. Corresponding pictures are available from the British "The Sun". The photos include the deceased's widow, Taylor Simone Ledward. Michael B. Jordan (33), Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o (37) and Winston Duke (33), with whom Boseman stood in front of the camera for "Black Panther", were also present.

Great mourning for the "Black Panther" star

At the private memorial ceremony, a photo of the deceased was on a table, next to it was flower arrangements, as the photos show. In addition, music was played with a hand drum. Tribute was paid to Boseman on Thursday (September 3) in Anderson, South Carolina, his hometown. This public commemoration also included a screening of "Black Panther". Many children appeared in "Black Panther" costumes. No one from the actor's family was present.

In 2016, Chadwick Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer. He did not make his illness public, and most of his companions apparently did not know anything about it. He had fought it over the past four years, with countless surgeries and chemotherapy treatments, but the cancer reached Stage IV. He died on August 28, 2020 at the age of 43 in the presence of his wife and family. How it will go with the sequel to "Black Panther", which was announced for May 2022, Disney and Marvel have not yet announced publicly.
