US actor Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020) was buried six days after his death on September 3rd in the cemetery of the Welfare Baptist Church in Belton, near his native Anderson, South Carolina. This emerges from his death certificate, which is available to the magazine "People".

The actor died at his Los Angeles home on August 28, aged just 43. The cause of death is also given in the document. Accordingly, he succumbed to "multiple organ failure as a result of his colon cancer".

"Black Panther" farewell

The actor's hometown honored him on the day of his funeral with a screening of the superhero film "Black Panther" (2018) and a memorial service in the community. The event took place in an open-air amphitheater. Most of the participants wore masks, and many children appeared in "Black Panther" costumes in his honor.

Chadwick Boseman played King T'Challa aka Black Panther in four Marvel films. "Black Panther 2" was already being planned and was announced for May 2022. At the Academy Awards 2019, "Black Panther" was nominated in seven categories, including best film. The film finally won three golden boys, including the categories "Best Costume Design" and "Best Film Music".
