Arsenal scared themselves, but finally validated their ticket to the quarter-finals of the Champions League by eliminating Porto this Tuesday evening. Beaten 1-0 in the first leg, the Gunners did what was necessary to come back to the score thanks to Leandro Trossard’s goal in the first half (41′). But facing the valiant and dynamic Dragons collective, Mikel Arteta’s team almost ended their European adventure as they pushed them to a penalty shootout in which David Raya excelled with two decisive saves, including the last on Wenderson Galeno to win the series 4 – 2. For the first time since the 2009/2010 edition, the London club will return to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
