After their brilliant victory in the Europa League, Eintracht Frankfurt is currently the fifth German team in the Champions League alongside FC Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig. After the 0:3 bankruptcy against Sporting Lisbon, the Frankfurters were able to assert themselves with a celebrated 1:0 against Marseille. In Group D, Eintracht is currently third behind Tottenham, who have the same number of points. A win against the Londoners would therefore mean a safe leap forward in the table.
Group D leaders are Sporting, who have taken a full six points from two games. Portugal could also extend that lead today (4 October) with a win over bottom side Marseille. Kick-off is at 6:45 p.m., the Frankfurt game will start at 9:00 p.m.
