  • There are no goals between Porto and Inter Milan. Milan advance to the next round thanks to a 1-0 win in the first leg.
  • The game is characterized by fighting and few goal scenes. Inter is waiting for a counterattack.
  • In the other game, Manchester City beat RB Leipzig 7-0 – Erling Haaland scored five goals.

In the seven-minute stoppage time, it wasn’t just the Milanese who trembled: the ball hit the edge of the Inter goal twice. First, Mehdi Taremi failed to hit the post in the 95th minute after a brilliant save by goalkeeper André Onana, before Marko Grujic headed the ball free on the crossbar just a few seconds later.

But this was not the end of the game: Pepê set it, who picked up the yellow-red card seconds before the final whistle with a frustration foul.

Inter was waiting for a counterattack

The fans at the Estadio do Dragao had to wait a long time before they saw these opportunities. In an otherwise unattractive game, Simone Inzaghi’s side withdrew a long way. Porto was in charge, while the «Nerazzurri» were content with counterattacks.

Milan one step further

Thanks to a narrow 1-0 win at home in the first leg, Inter secured the quarter-final ticket. Three weeks ago, Romelu Lukaku had shot the “black-blue” late to victory. For coach Inzaghi, a defeat in this game would probably have been the famous “one defeat too many”. It’s not going well in the championship: at the weekend there was even a defeat against the relegation candidate Spezia.
