At least that’s what one body language expert claims. Is there really something to bra psychology?
When it comes to how to put on your bra in the morning, the camps are divided – at least here in our editorial office. Eight of us close the little hooks at the front under the chest, then slide the bra back and slip on the straps. A total of six editors, on the other hand, put on the unlocked bra and close the hooks at the back of the back. And one of them prefers to wear sports tops, because “nothing falls out of there, no hanger pinches anywhere and contortions are unnecessary”.
And should this different approach really say something about our personality? At least that’s what American body language expert Patti Wood claims. It differs in one Redbook-Article four different personality types – driver, analyst, expressive and reliable – and explains that everyday activities such as putting on a bra in the morning tell something about our character.

The behind-the-back sealer
You are the reliable one and like to stick to traditions and proven processes. With your first bra, your mom probably showed you how to put it on (and fasten it at the back of the back) – and that’s where you stayed. You like to have people around you and support them in all matters. You like to make friends but are afraid of change.
The front closer with a twist
You are the expressive one, value your appearance and are accordingly proud of it. No wonder you like to be noticed and valued. Your bra selection is large, flashy and colorful. With the way you put the bra on, you make sure everything fits perfectly and looks good.

You are a driving force, your motto in life is: “We have no time to lose!” That’s why you don’t feel like messing around with bra hooks that you can’t even see. Just put on a bra with a front closure and start the day quickly! In shopping – and in life – you make smart, well-researched decisions that you don’t question. You are the boss – and take on everyone.
The over-the-head puller
You are an analyst and you like to do things right. That’s why you tend to close your bra properly once and then just pull it on every morning. You especially like sports bras. You don’t like to be the center of attention – and you probably prefer to be undisturbed when you get dressed in the morning.
